Project Overview
Pogo Engineering was contracted to perform comprehensive wet and dry utility installations for the Canyon Ridge development. The scope included deep trench excavation for sewer mains, precise water service lateral installation, and extensive joint trenching for electrical and telecom infrastructure.
Our team utilized GNSS machine control to ensure precise grading and trench depths, navigating complex soil conditions ("overex and recompact") to deliver a stable foundation for the subdivision's infrastructure.
Key Challenges & Solutions
Complex Soil Conditions
Encountered unstable soil requiring extensive over-excavation and recompaction. Our crews rapidly adjusted, importing suitable fill and achieving 95% compaction to meet strict geotechnical standards.
Tight Utility Corridors
Coordinated precise installation of water services ("killed" and new copper lines) within narrow easements, avoiding conflicts with existing storm drains and electrical conduits.
